Listening to: What Planet You On - Bodyrox & Luciana
Tomorrow is the last exam. I think I passed only 4 exams... I don't care... I'll probably fail this one too. It won't be a surprise since I still haven't started studying...
I'm waiting for my scholarship because I have to buy new coloring pencils, paper and other stuff... I still haven't forgot I promised to draw something for and . I made some sketches already and I got the basic idea, but I'm lacking quality paper and some colors... But it'll be done soon. Hope you're all enjoying summer...

Aw thanks so much - it means a lot. Well when you have parents who come to a country knowing almost no English and being able to make sure their children have what they need, it's hard to to feel like if you just try enough something will happen.
I understand what you're talking about being happy inside. My husband and I feel like that - we're in an environment that is so un-creative. We completely do not fit in with anyone here. Most people here are close minded about a lot of things. But what can you do ?
If you had your own way, what would you want to do specifically? Anything come to mind?
Man if I had my way we could travel all around the world and I can do art day and night and not have to worry about stupid classes, tests, etc. Not many people get to do that, but maybe that might happen for us.
Yes, I agree. My friends were telling me it's easy to give up (University). But it's not like it at all... It wasn't easy. It would be easier to stay and pretend like I like what I'm studying and finish it and everyone would be happy. Except me. I really feel inside it's time for changes and doing what my heart tells me, not what OTHERS tell me to do... Who knows where I'll end up, but at least I will know I did what I wanted to do. And plus, I'm not like a 50-year-old... I can go to University next year and finish it if I change my mind. It's not like that's too late.
Thank you for your words and I believe it'll work out for you because you've got the talent and the will to succeed.
I've felt that too. I hate how in high school they scare you into death about college and resumes, and it seems so rushed . . . in college they do the same thing. Blah blah "industry" this, and blah blah "industry" that. They put so much emphasis on tasks and what you have to do like it's like some stupid video game. Life isn't a video game...Talk like that completely turns me off from creating. Do what you enjoy and make money doing it I know it's easier said than done, but that's what I'm trying to do with these dolls... Maybe it'l work out for me, maybe it wont. I hope it will - but you never know.
Think of it this way - at least youre trying to figure out yourself and learn about YOU instead of not being able to do it when youre much older with children or whatever. Because then your life will revolve around kids and then when will you have room for yourself?
Oh jeez, I'm sounding like those corny motivational speakers - LOL. Good night
Hey don't feel like a kid. I'm 22 and we got married when I was 18, so that is pretty young by today's standards. We're more like best friends than "husband" and "wife" so don't feel strange about not being "married". We never really cared about being "married" - we knew that it was just a stupid piece of paper and it was now legal, blah blah blah. But his family kept talking about it so we got sick of hearing it. Nothing even changed between us when we got rings lol.
But yeah I know what you mean about "growing up". I remember like it was just yesterday when I moved out at 18. I've grown a lot, both of us have. It's crazy how quickly time goes. Like this summer, for instance, we'll be leaving next week to see his family for a month, and then at the end of next month, school starts again *sigh*
I think the best thing for you to do is feel like a kid. Kids live in the moment - 99.999% of adults do not. I would love to live "in the moment". Art is so much more precious when you live in the moment, everything is. But when money is always an issue you can't really "be" in the moment.
That's good you're trying to find yourself, there's nothing wrong with that. By moving out at 18, and going through struggles w/ my husband I definately am at a point in my life where I'm discovering who I really am - moving to America changed me so much. It's hard to realize who you are at your core and be your 'natural' self.
Oh damn, sorry for such a long message LoL. If I'm in a certain mood I keep going. I'm in a semi-serious mood, so, sorry
I'd really love to travel and get out of this city, but that takes money... Which I don't have right now... I don't know, I'm gonna take a break from everything and decide what to do with my life.
You have a husband? There are so many people of my age already married... I don't know, feels kind of strange... Like, how quickly did we grow up? I still feel like a kid...
You know what, I understand that - I sometimes regret coming to college because the only thing I have learned is painting basics - which I could have gotten out of a book. But what else could I do? Work some minimum wage job and feeling miserable. Well, it's still miserable in college.
Aw you should travel sometime. My husband I would love to live in Europe actually - but man, if its hard enough surviving in the states...I don't even wanna know how it is elsewhere.
You should go to France and study! lol One of my dream places to visit in France....Paris... I would die.
Well my father moved to the US to support us financially back home...so at a certain age my parents decided we need to be together so we moved to the US.
Thanks! Yeah I kept screwing up these smileys - they're so cute though.
What are you majoring in now?
It's kind of sad - this college only offers like, 1 course in web design and when I took that class it was so extremely boring, it was painful. Stupid Kansas.
Btw! I noticed you are from Croatia, do you live there now or no? I'm actually originally from Poland and have been living in the US for about 13 years. I haven't gone back yet . Maybe one day . . .
